Necklace Length Visualizer
Compare necklace lengths in centimetres or inches and explore their general placement.
YOUR LENGTH, VISUALISED

ILLUSTRATIVE FIT
This marker is a general reference, not an exact prediction of fit.
Choose a length that works for you
Type a length, choose a preset or move the slider. Switch between centimetres and inches without changing the length. One inch equals exactly 2.54 centimetres.
Use a flexible tape or measure a necklace that sits comfortably. Check the neckline, extender and pendant dimensions. The image marker illustrates short and long styling categories; it cannot account for every wearer’s proportions.
Try two lengths together
Compare a shorter chain and a second, longer chain against your outfit. Check how the pendants sit and whether the chains tangle as you move. Let your own fit guide the final choice.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
A few things worth knowing
Can I enter inches instead of centimetres?
Yes. Choose cm or in. Changing units keeps the same length. The conversion uses exactly 2.54 centimetres per inch.
Will the necklace sit exactly where the marker appears?
No. The marker illustrates a general length category. Body proportions, neck size, neckline, the chain and pendant all affect the actual fit.
How should I check a length before buying?
Measure a necklace you enjoy wearing or use a flexible tape against your chosen neckline. Check whether a retailer’s stated length includes an extender or pendant.
Which lengths can I compare?
Use any length from 35 to 70 centimetres, including decimal values. Presets and the slider provide convenient starting points.

Move the slider, use a preset or type a length between 35 and 70 centimetres, including decimal values. Choose centimetres or inches; changing units preserves the length. The visualizer shows the conversion to inches and a general position category. It uses an illustrative editorial photograph and marker rather than a physical model of your body. Treat the view as an explanation of length differences, not an exact fit preview.
Check the conversion with an example
Inches are calculated by dividing centimetres by 2.54. A 45 cm chain is approximately 17.7 inches; a 50 cm chain is approximately 19.7 inches. Compare the retailer's measurement conventions and check whether an extender is included. The pendant height is a separate dimension and adds to the visual line below the chain.
Use a personal reference for the final choice
Measure a necklace you enjoy or use a soft tape against the intended neckline. Check the actual shirt, dress or knitwear and notice where a pendant would fall. Neck size, shoulders, garment shape and necklace construction can change the position. Two chains with the same stated length do not necessarily sit identically.
Test layers before adding more chains
Compare two lengths and try the arrangement with your existing pieces. Different positions can give pendants room, but they do not guarantee freedom from tangles. Use the copy button to record the selected length and note which necklace or outfit it relates to. Reset restores the starting example. For gifting, check the recipient's familiar preferences or choose suitable exchange options instead of relying on this illustration alone.
